Replacing labels in your DYMO 4XL label printer is a quick and straightforward process. Follow the steps below to ensure the new labels are loaded correctly.

Step 1: Open the Printer

  1. Locate the cover of the printer.
  2. Gently lift and open the cover to expose the spool and current labels.

Step 2: Remove the Old Labels

  1. Press the eject button to release the spool.
  2. Remove the spool from the printer.
  3. Slide the old labels off the spool and set them aside.

Step 3: Load the New Labels

  1. Prepare the New Labels:
    • Check the orientation of the labels to ensure they will feed correctly.
    • The labels should come off the roll from underneath, facing up as they enter the printer.
  2. Install the Labels on the Spool:
    • Slide the new label roll onto the spool.
    • Ensure the roll is secure and rotates freely.
  3. Place the Spool in the Printer:
    • Align the spool with its holder inside the printer.
    • Make sure the labels feed toward the printer head.

Step 4: Feed the Labels

  1. Insert the leading edge of the label roll into the printer head.
  2. Press the blue button on the front of the printer to feed the labels through.
  3. Confirm the labels are aligned correctly and are feeding smoothly.

Step 5: Close the Printer

  1. Lower the cover back into place.
  2. Ensure it clicks shut securely.

Additional Notes

  • If the labels do not feed correctly, open the printer and adjust the alignment before trying again.
