SUMO BOTS! ROBOTICS WORKSHOP
For Kids in 3rd-5th Grade
Robot Smashing League team members Dominic Mak and Casey Jeremiason have coordinated a robotics workshop with Trinity School at River Ridge. This workshop enables kids a chance to have hands on experience and gain excitement about robots and STEM.
Sumo Bots is a sport in which two robots attempt to push each other off of a raised platform. In this hands-on workshop, participants will get an introduction to the world of competitive robotics working with combat-ready “push bot” kits. Students will assemble and name their robots and practice operating the robot using a controller. The workshop culminates in a bracket-style tournament. May the best robot win!
